Clear acrylic small desiccator which are fully transparent from all sides. Closed foam PVC gasket on door with spring loaded clamps to ensure an airtight seal. Door hinges to the front. Two perforated shelves are included. Desiccators have 1/8" NPT threaded holes to connect barb fittings. Units are stackable with non-slip feet. Wall thickness is 1/4".

Perfect for cramped locations, these desiccator cabinets may be safely stacked up to five high. The cabinet is completely transparent from any side. The door has a foam rubber gasket and two roller latches for an airtight seal. When opened, the door slides into an out-of-the-way compartment beneath the cabinet. A jar of silica gel is included with each cabinet.

Two gas ports added to the rear of the #2248 Desiccator Cabinet allow an atmosphere to be created that may be altered and maintained at any concentration desired. The gas ports, located at top and bottom, create a sweep of gas from the inlet through the outlet. The gas ports have leakproof 4mm stopcocks and the door has an excellent seal.
Useful for tissue culture work where a controlled carbon dioxide atmosphere is required or for flooding the chamber with nitrogen to eliminate oxygen.
Dimensions are the same as #2248, plus the 2-3/4" (7cm) extension of the stopcocks.

Precisely displays the volume of nitrogen flow to any cabinet - inlets are provided for mounting flowmeters on PL Desiccator Cabinets. 1 Flowmeter, 2-20 SCFH required per door (chamber) for non-plenum desiccators and plenum desiccators with 3 and 4 doors (chambers). 1 Flowmeter, 10-100 SCFH required per plenum desiccator with 5 to 10 doors (chambers).
Continuously bleeds off excess internal pressure to maintain a safe positive pressure within the desiccator, which extends the life of desiccator doors and gasketing. One should be used on each chamber when nitrogen is used to fill the desiccator (regardless of plenum or non-plenum desiccator).
