Associate Accounting Representative


Ted Pella, Inc. is seeking an Associate Accounting Representative to join our Accounting team. This person will be responsible for performing the invoicing accounting procedures, as well as handling front desk and administrative duties. This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing high volume billing and invoicing on a daily basis, utilizing computer software system. Invoice customers both electronically and manually.
  • Answer billing questions.
  • Process credit card payments using credit card processing system. Perform daily reconciliation.
  • Handle front office reception duties, including greeting walk-in customers and visitors, maintain sign-in book, and provide nametags.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct to appropriate staff.
  • Perform other administrative duties including filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.
  • Other duties as assigned which may become essential to the position.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry, customer service, invoicing / billing, or related experience required.
  • Prior accounting / billing computer software experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma required. College coursework in accounting is preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience.
  • Strong typing skills and 10-key skills with high degree of accuracy. Familiarity with using a variety of office machines such as credit card processing, fax machine, copiers, and printers.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both on the phone and in person, and in writing. Able to handle difficult situations tactfully.
  • Strong attention to detail, and high level of accuracy in work product.
  • Reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and math skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to learn new things quickly.
  • Demonstrate a high competency in computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Must have the ability to be self-motivated and work independently and work well on a team.
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  • Must have good problem solving skills and good judgment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and ability to prioritize.
  • Regular, prompt attendance and a strong work ethic is required.

Hours:

Monday through Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm and/or as needed. Evening or weekend shifts may be required on occasion when business demands, and pre-approved by Manager.

Salary/Benefits:

The hourly salary range is $16.52 - $21.48 plus an excellent benefit package. Pay rate will be commensurate with experience.
