Sunday, July 29, 2018, 7:45 PM PST: The company is optimistically planning on opening for business on Monday morning, 7/30/18, at 6:45 AM, per our best information on when we will be allowed back into the evacuated area where the company is located. We look forward to serving your needs.

The business park where Ted Pella, Inc. is located has not been near the fire, although 23 employees were evacuated from their homes around the county and at least one has lost their house to the fire. Most of them plan on coming to work tomorrow! It’s been devastating to the county: 95,000 acres have burned; 6 lives have been lost, including two firefighters; and 657 homes have burned down. Yet the fire is still only 17% contained. Thankfully the fire is moving away from the City of Redding; but it appears that the entire Whiskeytown National Recreation Area has been lost and will need to be replanted and rebuilt.

We’ll continue to post updates as the events affect the company. Other updates are available via CalFire, on the Carr Fire page, and from local news outlets like Action News Now.
