Carb-N-Grids™
Pure Carbon Grids with 2 V-style posts. These grids are made of pure
carbon and show very low background for EDS and spectroscopy, and very
high adhesion of beam-deposited platinum, making for highly stable
attachment of sample lamella. These grids come as a strip of 10, where
the individual grids are easily removed from the backing with tweezers. Ideal for samples for spectroscopic examination and where metals such as
copper must be avoided. The unique carbon material is mechanically
robust and gives smooth edges at the attachment points. The grids are
3mm in diameter and approximately 70µm thick. Two post grids have 315 x 70 x 300µm (W x D x H) posts, while four post grids have two narrow posts of 60 x 120µm, and two wide posts 120 x 190µm with a 120 degree notch at the end.

PELCO® Indicator FIB Lift-Out TEM Grids
The PELCO® FIB Lift-Out TEM Grids have been designed for in-situ
lift to attach the TEM lamellas milled out by SEM/FIB or FIB systems. The design has been optimized for
access and flexibility. The nominal diameter of the sturdy PELCO® FIB Lift-Out Grids is 3mm. These grids fit an all standard TEM holders and provide a full view of the lamella attached to the posts.

PELCO® FIB Lift-Out TEM Grids come in 4, 5, or 8 post formats. Each post is labelled by an easy to read dot pattern beneath the post. The typical thickness of the copper lift-out grids is 35µm +/-5µm. Mo grids are nominally 25µm thick. The copper grids have a thin ridge surrounding the posts for extra support. Mo grids have sharp edges.
Posts are is 60 x 25 x 190µm (W x D x H). The molybdenum grids have four posts, two narrow and two wide. Narrow posts are 60 x 190µm (W x H) and wide posts are 120 x 190µm with a 120 degree notch at the end.

Copper PELCO® FIB Lift-Out Grid TEM Grids
The typical thickness of the copper lift-out grids is 35µm +/-5µm. The Cu FIB lift-out grids also have
a thinner ridge on the inside, where the lamellas can be attached and are protected when stored. Available
with either one or two wider v-shaped posts or four narrow flat posts with identification number etch through. Use single
or dual wider posts for attaching single lamellas or the four posts for attaching a larger number of lamellas.
Size of wide post is 250 x 35 x 190µm (W x D x H), size of narrow post is 80 x 35 x 190µm (W x D x H).
Sold in packs of 100. FIB grid with 2 wide posts available with thickness of 55µm ±5µm as well.

Omniprobe® Lift-Out Grids
The Omniprobe® Lift-Out Grids are specifically designed to accept the
TEM lamellas milled out by FIB or SEM/FIB systems. Typical thickness of the grids is
25-30µm with a diameter of 3mm. The posts are designed for optimum access and
provide a secure area for attaching (welding) the lamella(s). The Omniprobe® grids fit
standard TEM holders and provide a non-obscured view of the thin sections attached to the posts.

PELCO® Fortress FIB Holder™ & Sample Loader
The PELCO® Fortress FIB Holder™ is used for TEM
sample preparation and storage. The PELCO® Fortress FIB Holder™ is the former South Bay Technology Fortress FIB Holder. FIB lift-out grids are
clamped securely in place by a tensioned spring without
the need for adhesives. Sample loading is easy when
the PELCO® Fortress FIB Holder™ is paired with the
Sample Loader. Paired with a pin stub desiccator or other pin stub storage container, the PELCO® Fortress FIB Holder™ securely stores FIB grids with lamella attached. This holder is suitable
for all FIB/SEM systems which accept pin mount holders such as Thermo Fisher Scientific/FEI, ZEISS and Tescan systems.
For the JEOL and Hitachi systems a pin mount adapter is
needed.
Overall size is 20.7 x 14.6 x 13.2mm (0.81 x 0.5" x
0.52"), pin included. Standard ø3.2mm (1/8") pin.

PELCO® SEM Pin Stub Vacuum Desiccator
NEW Desiccator Lid Options Available!
The durable and versatile PELCO® SEM Pin Stub Vacuum
Desiccator holds up to 12 standard ø12.7mm (1/2") pin stubs, or two ø25mm (1") stubs or a single stub up to ø50mm (2") in diameter. Ideal for use with the PELCO® Fortress FIB Holders to protect processed samples as storage under vacuum eliminates
contamination from vapor or dust.
The desiccator comes with a standard acrylic
cap, allowing for a maximum 12mm (3/8") specimen height.
Quartz glass and aluminum construction lids are available separately, which can accommodate up to 30mm samples. All metal parts are made of durable, non-outgassing, anodized aluminum and the use of Viton® O-rings makes the desiccator able to pump down to 10-3 mbar and capable of holding vacuum for many weeks. The metal vacuum valve has a PTFE shaft seal. Use a small vacuum pump to evacuate. Vacuum connection for pump-down is a 1/4" (6.35mm) barb fitting.

The PELCO® Silicon Aperture Frames are 3mm disk type frames with a thickness
of 200µm and square or rectangular apertures. They are made with the same clean
state-of -the-art manufacturing techniques as the
PELCO® Silicon Nitride Support Films.
The Silicon Nitride has been removed and leaves a silicon frame.
They are perfectly round shaped 3mm frame featuring the Easygrip edge for easy handling.
No broken edges and free of debris often associated with other manufacturing processes.
Offered with three sizes of openings: 0.5 x 0.5, 1.0 x 1.0 and 1.5 x 0.5mm.
