Section 2 Toxic Data:
Resin based on resins used in dental fillings.
The resin is of very low viscosity and designed to penetrate biological tissue being an embedding resin. Hence care should be taken to minimize skin contact. This is especially true if there is a previous history of allergy to methacrylates.

Section 3 Hazards:
The resin is combustible. The flash point of the resin exceeds 120°C.
If excess catalyst is added a high exotherm may result; this is only a risk if the container holding the mixture is not vented.
The very small amount of peroxide does not present a hazard, though the resin should be kept cool (40°C) to prevent premature polymerization.

Section 4 Recommendations for Safe Handling:
Avoid unnecessary contact with skin; wash hands after use with soap and warm water. Apply a moisturizing cream after use if large amounts have been spilled on the skin.
Avoid all contact with eyes. If resin gets into the eyes wash the eyes gently with distilled water for ten minutes and have eyes examined by a qualified doctor, preferably an eye specialist.

Section 5 Disposal:
Dispose of resin and catalyst by combining the two in a well vented container, i.e. a bucket. To polymerize the resin safely add 2.5% di-methyl p. toluidine. The resin will then cure with a little fuming as it exotherms and should be placed in a fume cupboard or outside while this occurs. The cool resin is harmless and may be disposed of with other non toxic waste.
